Osibanjo yesterday formally declared intention to run for the office of the President

Presidential aspirant Bola Ahmed Tinubu has denied Vice President Yemi Osinbajo as his political son. 
The former Lagos State Governor made the denial when he met with some Governors on the platform of the APC in Abuja. 
The meeting had in attendance 12 governors of the ruling APC.
Bear in mind that Bola Tinubu has not formally declared for the position, but has made his intention known when he met with President Muhammadu Buhari some months back.
Vice President Yemi Osibanjo yesterday formally declared intention to run for the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the platform of APC. Citing what he referred to as the success of the current administration in security and boosting the economy, the VP says he is the best man for the job.


Now to the major opposition party; 
Former Senate President Bukola Saraki, is advocating for a consensus candidate among presidential aspirants of the People’s Democratic Party.
Saraki who is also a presidential hopeful made this known while briefing journalists after a closed-door meeting with some co-aspirants in Bayelsa state.
The closed-door meeting had in attendance Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, Senator Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, and Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State.

On the foreign scene,
President Zelensky of Ukraine says Russia is concentrating tens of thousands of soldiers for its next offensive in eastern Ukraine
He said it is likely that tens of thousands of people have died during Russia's bombardment of the port city of Mariupol.

Nigerian businessman, Femi Otedola, has reacted to the engagement of his daughter, Temi to her long-term boyfriend and musician, Mr Eazi.
The billionaire wrote, “Somebody is taking my baby”.
His reaction comes hours after the short video of the lovebirds at a seashore with the musician going down on one knee to seek her hands in marriage.
