Commuters will pay a fixed or flat rate

The federal government has released a list of fees to be paid by road users.

The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, who announced the list, says it was developed after extensive consultations with stakeholders within and outside the government.

He said the Roads and Bridges Tolling Policy and Regulations include fees ranging from 200 naira for cars to 500 naira for luxury buses and trucks, while SUVs and Private Buses pay 300 naira.

One of the highlights of the tolling policy states that commuters will pay a fixed or flat rate that is not dependent on distance travelled.
