Today makes it one year, after the Lekki Toll Gate shooting that took place during a demonstration against police brutality. And the plan by some to mark the 1st anniversary may not proceed as usual. This follows a warning from the police that it will only allow the indoor and virtual events. We also hear the police have started arresting people at the Lekki Toll Plaza. As at the time of this report, the arrests are being made in connection to the first anniversary of the EndSARS protest. Outside Nigeria,
A gang is asking for a million dollars each for the 17 people it kidnapped on Saturday. The gang is the 400 Mazowo, as Haiti's justice minister calls it. Reports say those kidnapped are US citizens, except one who is Canadian. They worked for Christian Aids Ministries, a non-profit missionary organization based in the US state of Ohio.
