'If You Ask Me’ Was About Domestic Violence And Incest, People Missed It – Omawumi

All about Love Deep High Life by Omawunmi - #GoodMorningNigeriaShow with Mannie & Mahogany

•    She revealed the ten-track album only took two weeks to record, and she worked with multiple producers. She revealed she is very picky about who her producers are and who collaborates with her on her songs. She thinks about the person she will sing with as she’s writing the songs.
•    She talked about how there are pressing issues in the country but people are not listening. She brought up her song ‘If You Ask Me’ as an example, stating incredulously that the song was about domestic violence and incest, and people danced to it and didn’t listen to or understand the lyrics.
•    She stated that as the youth are more politically involved, the same way artists should become more politically involved.

She speaks about working on an album for only two weeks, with producers and features that were picked very carefully.
She also speaks about her performance plans short time.
