NAFDAC has alerted Nigerians to substandard cough syrups

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control has alerted Nigerians to substandard cough syrups circulating in The Gambia

NAFDAC says the cough syrups are Promethazine Oral Solution, Kofexmalin Baby Cough Syrup, Makoff Baby Cough Syrup and Magrip N Cold Syrup.

NAFDAC Director-General, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye made this known in a statement.

NAFDAC wants you to be vigilant and says these drugs have been contaminated.

At least of 66 children have died in The Gambia, following the use of the substandard cough syrups
