The Recording Academy has a time frame for which a song or body of work has to be released in other to make the list, the period runs from October 1, 2021, to September 30, 2022. Meaning Wizkid's "More Love Less Ego" was not released within the stipulated time frame.

Recall Wizkid's last body of work "Made In Lagos" which was nominated for the Global Music Album and the global hit song "Essence" assisted by Tems was nominated under Global Music Performance.
