20 international athletes were deemed ineligible
In sports, ten Nigerian athletes have been disqualified from participating in the ongoing Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
The Athletics Integrity Unit says the Nigerians were disqualified for not meeting the minimum testing requirements under Rule 15 of the governing National Anti-Doping Federation.
A total 20 international athletes were deemed ineligible by the AIU, with Nigeria being the most affected.
Other countries whose athletes were affected are Belarus, Ethiopia, Kenya, Morocco, and Ukraine.
