Another day of long queues and petrol scarcity is expected across Lagos State as petrol scarcity bites harder.

Yesterday was a day to forget for motorists in Lagos State with scenes of chaos in a number of stations visited by our correspondents as people raised their voices at petrol attendants.

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, says the shortfall is due to unsteady supply in the past days but the NNPC limited says there’s enough petrol in storage.

And as if the petrol scarcity is not enough trouble commuters, there is a possibility of more headaches in a matter of days.

Commercial drivers in the state have threatened to withdraw their buses for seven days over multiple extortion by parks and garage management

The drivers Joint Drivers Welfare Association of Nigeria say they have been subjected to indiscriminate extortion and violent harassment by the management.

The association in a statement by its National Leader, Akintade Abiodun, says they will commence protests from Monday next week which is the 31st of October.
