The decision was reached during the State Security Council meeting
Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau has relaxed the 24-hour curfew imposed on Jos North Local Government Area, following the killing of commuters along Rukuba road in the area on August 14.
A statement by the governor's Director of Press and Public Affairs, Dr Makut Macham, says the curfew has been reviewed to be observed from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., till further notice, starting today, Thursday.
Macham said the decision was reached during the State Security Council meeting held at the Government House, Jos, where the governor received briefings from the heads of security agencies in respect of the security situation in the state.
He says the ban on processions is still in force, and defaulters would be dealt with according to the law.
