If you registered for a Voter card and haven’t picked it up, we’re talking to you. The Independent National Electoral Commission says about 21, 352 of 34,242 newly printed Permanent Voter Cards for new registrants are still uncollected in Lagos State,  four months after release.

The INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in Lagos State, Olusegun Agbaje said he was deeply concerned about the large numbers of old and new PVCs lying at INEC offices in the State.

He said a large percentage of the PVCs belonged to women, being important stakeholders in elections.
He added that the PVC is the sole instrument required from the Voter to participate in an election.

The Lagos state Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development now has a new Commissioner. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved the redeployment of Tayo Bamgbose-Martin to the ministry. Until his new appointment,  Bamgbose-Martin was the Commissioner for Special Duties.

He replaces Idris Salako who resigned on Monday following the collapse of the uncompleted 7-storey building at Lekki in which seven people died.
The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotosho, made the announcement at a Press Briefing.
