Buhari presides over the meeting of NSC

Also, Nigeria doctors suspend strike

President Muhammadu Buhari has presided over the meeting of the National Security Council with service and security chiefs as well as some cabinet Ministers in attendance.
Others at the meeting include Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha and Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari.
Security chiefs updated the president on security situation across the country.

The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors has suspended a strike ultimatum to the Federal Government to meet their demands which include the payment of the newly-reviewed Medical Residency Training Fund and implementation of the new hazard allowance, among others.
 The President of the Association, Doctor Godiya Ishaya said the decision was reached after members of the association held a virtual meeting on Wednesday to decide on the next line of action.
He said that members of the National Executive Council decided to suspend the strike ultimatum because of the level of progress made by the Federal Government in meeting some of their demands.
