The 2025 Game Awards has shattered its own viewership records, attracting an estimated 171 million global livestreams across multiple digital platforms, organisers announced.

The annual awards show, which celebrates excellence in the video game industry, was held on December 11 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles and streamed live across platforms, including YouTube, Twitch, TikTok Live, X, Facebook, Instagram, and others.

The latest figure marks an 11 percent increase over the previous record set in 2024 and represents the highest livestream audience in the event’s history.

Viewership figures include livestreams of the full broadcast but do not count additional streams on new partners like Amazon Prime Video.

The Game Awards, produced and hosted by Geoff Keighley, has continued to grow in global reach since its launch in 2014.

This year’s event featured awards to top games and creators, world premieres, and appearances by industry figures, further solidifying its place as one of the most‑watched digital entertainment ceremonies worldwide.
