Security: Borno enlists 1,000 volunteer hunters

Governor Zulum assured the volunteers of logistic support

As part of efforts to curb insecurity in Borno State, Governor Babagana Zulum has inaugurated 1,000 volunteer hunters to complement the efforts of security agencies protecting farmers.

Governor Zulum, at the inauguration ceremony, assured the volunteers of logistic support and monthly allowances to encourage them as they carry out their duties.

He said the volunteer hunters have been screen and are willing to protect the farming communities in four local government areas, namely Maiduguri, Jere, Mafa and Konduga.
