Nissi Ogulu Opens Up On Music Career, Inspiration, And Relationship With Family

The multi-talented and versatile singer, Nissi Ogulu who's also the sister of Grammy award-winning Afrobeat music genius Burna Boy, pulled up on the #roadshow and she spoke about her career, inspiration, and her relationship with the African Giant Burna Boy with Gucci and Gigi.

Nissi Ogulu, who's from her vastly creative South Side “Port Harcourt" family is signed to Spaceship Record and Empire Records, she caught the attention of listeners after she collaborated with the Porth Harcourt duo Ajebo hustlers on “Symbiosis”.

Her style of music is quite different from the proper Afro Tune that we are used to. She described her music as a “nonconformist” the artist claims she doesn't sing based on trends or just vibe, although her songs are relatable but different, songs like "Hold me", "Judi and Gravity" best describes her styles.

“I'm a better singer than Burna Boy,” Nissi claims that Burna is a better rapper but in singing she's way better and they both agreed to it.

“People inspire me,” the artist shares where she gets her inspiration from and how people around her inspire her work as a musician also her Grandfather taught her how to sing and write from her heart.
