He talked about the inspiration behind the project on the #middayshow with Do2dtun and Eve. Adekunle Gold allowed us to get the meaning of catch me if you can. “I was being literal when I named the album,” Adekunle Gold feels he is on a whole journey and new  definition as an artiste, “I have more self  awareness,” he explained the drive behind the album and also reflected on his journey as an artiste, growing and learning from different phases of life.

“This is me,” referring to the originality behind the album, because he felt he has been recording to prove a point before but now he is giving us another phase and stage of Adekunle Gold which he calls “AG BABY”.

The artiste continued “I was doing everything I wanted on this album.” He gave us more insight on how he was able to express himself more on this album.

“Tell us about you transforming from Adekunle Gold to AG BABY,” Eve asked, “it's growth” Adekunle explained the innovation behind the transformation, talking about how he started his career nine years ago and where he is now “and it’s just self awareness,” he said.
