Omah Lay reveals “Bad Influence” sums up his early days in Lagos from isolation

Omah Lay, rising music star speaks to Cool FM's Kaylah in isolation.

As a Port-Harcourt in-house producer & songwriter, the business of Lagos would become his business later he knew. Years later, with a sleeper hit to his name and record deal in the famed Lagos city, Omah Lay admits “Bad Influence”—the singer’s mellow  introduction to the world, was centered around his lifestyle in lagos since moving and getting signed. “It wasn’t a love song. It wasn’t a heartbreak song.”  He explains, from a designated “good-reception” zone in house where he’s currently quarantining. “It was just a compilation of things happening at the same time.”

The singer-songwriter recently detailed  in an interview with Kemi Smallz, his experience as a budding producer & songwriter, co-creating and producing music and never getting credits or the same energy from the unnamed artists he claimed to have worked with in the past. "Singing was like a clap-back. I wanted to prove to people that I could do it”.
