She disappointment about the social media pages of up-and-coming artists

Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, Simi has a few words for Nigerian up-and-coming artists.

The singer has lately been more interested in getting acquainted with the works of upcoming artists. In view of this, she has scanned the social media pages of some.

She expressed her disappointment about the social media pages of up-and-coming artists and encouraged them to do better.

She wrote, “You are a ‘serious’ growing artist and you have only three posts on your page; a picture of the sunset, one of airplane, and one of your shoe.

“Caption – Lost, but don’t find me. Nothing with your music in it. That’s not a great look. If you want it bad, always be selling yourself.

“Leave the mysterious sh*t for when you’ve won! Even then, still, leave it.”

Don Jazzy also responded, saying he fully agrees with her.

He wrote on his Instagram Page: I tell y’all this all time. Hear it from your fellow artists too. All that fake deep mysterious aesthetic is tampering with your ops. Besides if you show the algorithm that you want to be dark, mysterious and left alone, it will make sure you are in the darkest part of the gram where no one will see you. How then will you get discovered?
