Wizkid has emerged as the most-streamed artist on Apple Music in Sub-Saharan Africa for 2025, driven by his hit album Morayo, according to Apple Music’s annual Replay ’25 year-end charts.

The Afrobeats star led streaming numbers in Nigeria and across Sub-Saharan Africa, followed closely by Burna Boy, Asake, Seyi Vibez, and BNXN.

Morayo topped the regional album chart, with albums from Davido (5ive), Asake (Lungu Boy), BNXN, and Burna Boy rounding out the top five.

At the song level, Wizkid’s tracks, alongside Asake and Davido collaborations, dominated regional playlists, highlighting the continued growth and global appeal of Afrobeats.

Across the globe, Canadian rapper Drake reclaimed the title of the platform’s most-streamed artist worldwide, cementing his dominance in 2025.

His singles and collaborative tracks maintained strong streaming numbers despite competition from international stars like Kendrick Lamar, SZA, Bruno Mars, and Rosé.
