Tinubu Swears In Oyedele as Finance Minister of State

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sworn in Taiwo Oyedele as Nigeria’s Minister of State for Finance.

The ceremony took place at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

During the event, the president described the appointment as a good day for the country and praised Oyedele for his contributions to Nigeria’s tax and fiscal policy.

Tinubu said Oyedele is a dedicated and determined professional whose work has helped shape the country’s fiscal framework.

The president also acknowledged the demands of public service and commended Oyedele’s wife for supporting him through the responsibilities that come with the job.

In his response, Oyedele promised to give his best in the new role.

He said his focus will be on revenue generation, efficient spending, debt management and strengthening Nigeria’s fiscal sustainability.

Oyedele also pledged that the Federal Ministry of Finance will work closely with other government agencies responsible for monetary and trade policies to tackle both domestic and global economic challenges.

President Tinubu said the appointment comes at a critical time, stressing that reforms must be properly implemented to achieve real economic results.
