Michael B. Jordan has won the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role at the 2026 Actor Awards, held March 1 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
The Sinners star took time during his acceptance speech to pay tribute to those who shaped his journey.
“Mom, thank you for driving me back and forth to New York when we didn’t have enough money for gas or parking, and for supporting me through auditions,” Jordan said, addressing his mother, Donna Jordan, who held back tears.
He also praised longtime collaborator Ryan Coogler, who directed Sinners and received an Oscar nomination for his work.
“Thank you for giving me the opportunity to show what I can do and to create a safe space for us to find the truth,” Jordan said.
Jordan extended his gratitude to his co-stars, including Wunmi Mosaku, Hailee Steinfeld, Delroy Lindo, and Miles Caton.
“You lent us your talents, time, and vulnerability,” he said.
Acknowledging his fellow nominees, including Timothée Chalamet, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ethan Hawke, and Jesse Plemons, Jordan added, “I’m so honored to be nominated alongside actors I love.
This ride has been unbelievable.”
The award marks another milestone for the 39-year-old actor, celebrating both his talent and the people who supported him along the way.
