Oyo Donates 2.5m to families of deceased Amotekun members

Taking our conversation on security to the south-west, seven members of the Security Network Agency known as Amotekun have been killed since the corps was establishment in the state.

Governor Seyi Makinde disclosed this in Ibadan, during a stakeholders’ consultative meeting where he announced a donation of 2.5 million naira each to family members of the deceased Amotekun members as well as scholarships for their children.

The governor also assured the people of the state that his administration would continue to deploy resources to ensure the state remains secure.
He also urged residents to be vigilant and call government’s attention to any suspected security threat in any part of the state by dialling the emergency number, 615.
