Also, Nigerians to align themselves with political parties or candidates of their choice
Nigeria’s only surviving first republic Minister, Chief Mbazulike Amaechi says the Nigeria of today is a far cry from what he fought for in the 60s. Chief Amaechi stated this on Nigeria Info’s The Newsroom while commenting on Nigeria’s 62nd independence.
He said Nigerians today, need to be more deliberate about the change they want to see and change the narrative by voting for credible leaders in the 2023 elections.
He said he is disappointed by the outcome of the country and hope that the youths save the day for future generations. Chief Amaechi said Nigeria needs a total overhaul of the present system as corruption has been legalized in all sectors.

The Nigerian Civil Society Situation Room has asked Nigerians to align themselves with political parties or candidates of their choice based on their inert conviction of the party’s ideology as well as the proven capacity of the candidate to deliver on campaign promises.
Making the request in Abuja, Convener, Ene Obi equally urged citizens who took part in the Continuous Voter Registration in 2021 to endeavour to visit INEC offices in various Local Government Areas of the country to pick up their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVCs). The situation room urged party supporters to refrain from cyber bullying, and learn to accommodate different views, opinions and preferences.
While promising to observe and document infractions during the 2023 campaign activities, the situation room called for strict enforcement of electoral laws.
