The additional 727 COVID-19 infections indicate an increase

Five more people have died from COVID-19 complications as Nigeria recorded 727 fresh cases yesterday. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control disclosed today, that the new infections were recorded in 18 states with Lagos remaining the epicenter of the pandemic with 157 infections.
The NCDC, in its daily update on the pandemic, says the additional 727 COVID-19 infections indicate an increase from the 559 cases reported on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the National Primary Health Care Development Agency says more than 3.81 million of the total eligible persons targeted for COVID-19 vaccination have been reached with the first dose. Whereas, 1.63 million of the total eligible persons targeted for COVID-19 vaccination have been reached with the second dose and are now “fully vaccinated”. People who wish to be vaccinated should visit www.nphcda.gov.ng to fill the request form.
