The Lagos Police command has dismissed reports that Lagos is on a partial lockdown due to security concerns.
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi says policemen have only been deployed to man the entry and exit points of the state to prevent crime from happening.
He further explains that the policemen deployed in the exit and entry points were detailed to engage in stop-and-search enforcement.
The CP said the move was part of the command’s proactive measures to protect lives and property through the provision of adequate security in the state.
