Tragedy occurred at the popular Balogun Market in Lagos as once again, fire gutted a building there.
We hear the fire started from one of the market buildings on Martins Street in Lagos.
The Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Agency, Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, confirmed the incident.
According to the LASEMA boss, clothing materials stored in the shop were destroyed but crucially, no life was lost in the inferno.
It might interest you to know that this is the second time this year that the Balogun Market will be experiencing fire incident.
There was also a fire incident at the market last year, in 2020 and 2019.
