Meeting with the state government yielded no result - Association

Barring any last-minute change, the joint Drivers Welfare Association of Nigeria will start its proposed seven days’ strike today.

The union said that its meeting with the state government yielded no result.

Some of their demands included demand for end to All illegal money at garages and parks, end to alleged Harassment of law enforcement agencies & intimidation with guns among others.

Meanwhile Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, is warning roadside traders to stop transacting businesses on Lagos roads to avoid obstructing the free flow of traffic.

LASTMA General Manager, Bolaji Oreagba, sounded the warning while addressing the officers on the need to ensure free flow of traffic during and beyond ‘Ember Months’ across the State.
