Nyesom Wike had threatened to bring back lockdown
17 more Nigerians have died from the Covid-19 pandemic in the last 24 hours.
That is the latest data from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
This brings the total death toll from Covid-19 to 2, 573.
Also, the NCDC says there are 597 new confirmed cases of the disease with Lagos getting the highest number of 204 cases.
Meanwhile, the Lagos Commissioner for Health, Akin Abayomi, says the bed occupancy rate in public and private Coronavirus care centers has increased to 53 per cent.
Earlier, Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike had threatened to bring back lockdowns as a result of rising Covid cases in the state.
