DMW rave act Mayorkun, confirms that his highly anticipated sophomore album is already done and will be released this Friday.
During a Q&A session, Mayorkun promised new music and also said his album is a hundred percent done.
According to the singer, fans have been agitating for new music and he had been carrying them along with information about the production processes. Now, the work is done.
Mayorkun, who remains one of Nigeria’s best acts and who Davido has called the best in Nigeria, made the announcements via Instagram.
He shared snippets of the album and added: ‘The Mayor Of Lagos’ is ‘Back In Office’ - New Music Out This Friday !! Let’s Gooo !!! 🔥🔥

DMW also lost some of its members in the past few months which has been devastating to the crew.
However, Mayorkun is assuring fans that negative things which happened to him helped him make music that will be released soon.
In a tweet, he said: “Most people think I’m incapable of anger, sadness, and all those other negative things but trust me; the last nine months have been a roller coaster of different emotions; love, envy, betrayal, loneliness; most of which I made music about.
“You’d love it!”
The singer stayed away from social media for several months in 2021.
