Fast-rising Mavin Records princess and talented singer, Ayra Starr engaged in a rather interesting conversation with June Ubi at the Colors Studio interview, where she talked about her career, childhood, and inspirations.

“I used to be a dancer,” she says, recounting how she started her career as a dancer.

She started singing at the age of 10 after she joined the church choir, although she reveals she’s from a family of strong musical background, her brother is a video director, her Grandpa used to be guitarist and a singer, so it is no surprise where she got her vocal prowess from.

The songwriter shared the list of artists she draws inspiration from “every female artist in Nigeria Inspire me”, however she was particular about names like Wande Coal, 2Baba, Rihanna, and Beyonce.

Ayra Starr certainly had a lot of energy in this interview, watch how the 19-year-old talked about her family and what she had to say about her debut album “19 & Dangerous”.
