Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Davido has been incorporated into the roster for the forthcoming Scorpion Kings Live concert.
Scheduled for 29 August at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium, the festival will also pay tribute to the iconic musician Caiphus Semenya. The event's lineup features notable artists such as Ami Faku, Cassper Nyovest, Mafikizolo, Focalistic, among numerous others.
Recently married Nigerian icon Davido is the latest addition to the eagerly awaited Scorpion Kings Live with Friends concert at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria later this month. Beyond being a music festival, the concert, organized in collaboration with Metro FM and Converse, will also celebrate the legendary musician Caiphus Semenya when it occurs on Friday, 29 August.
“Davido is part of the family. His presence enhances this moment to be truly continental,” stated the duo behind Scorpion Kings, DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small. “We have curated this lineup to create a historic occasion. ”
Attendees can also anticipate performances from Ami Faku, Cassper Nyovest, Daliwonga, Focalistic, Kamo Mphela, Kwesta, Mafikizolo, Mlindo The Vocalist, Msaki, Njelic, Nkosazana Daughter, Oskido, Sjava, and Young Stunna during the main event.
