The doctors say they are not eager to call off their strike

The update on the indefinite strike of National Association of Resident Doctors which has continued for the third week, the federal government is now going through the courts to get the physicians back to work. This comes as the National Industrial Court, Abuja, on Monday fixed September 15 to hear a suit filed by the Federal Government against the striking resident doctors.


But in a swift reaction, the doctors say they are not eager to call off their strike. National President of the association, Dr Uyilawa Okhuaihesuyi, in a press briefing on Monday, appealed to Nigerians to bear with them through their struggle to improve the nation's health sector.
