President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to meet with security chiefs on Thursday. This information was released by his special adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina.
The statement notes that the nation's security forces had, in the past few weeks, taken the battle more robustly to insurgents, bandits, and all other criminals troubling the country. The meeting comes in the midst of several various security incidents, with recent concerns being in Plateau and Zamfara states.
While the president prepares to meet with security chiefs this week, abductors of the students and staff members of the College of Agriculture and Animal Science in Bakura, Zamfara State are demanding 350-million-naira. Provost of the College, Habibu Mainasara, who was recently released from captivity, confirmed the ransom demand.
