Some Nigerian students would rather labour through school than serve the federal government for five years upon graduation.

This is in reaction to the government’s plan to re-introduce a bursary scheme that mandates students studying Education to serve the government for five years after graduation.

According to the Minister of Education Adamu Adamu, the government will pay university students 150,000 and college students 100,000 naira annually.

But, these students will have to sign an undertaking to serve the government for 5 years after graduation.
