The February edition clocked its 5th show.
As AUX Africa continues to gently expand the borders of Nigeria’s neighbouring sounds from mostly budding acts carefully selected from a plush pool of exciting & young acts, its experiential live music event—AUX Live, returned for its 6th edition at the Hard Rock Cafe, last Thursday on the 27th of February. One of the acts took a dramatic approach, bringing in his very own circle to the show-turned-party, serenading even the most unaware at the hard rock cafe. Yusuf Kan Bai’s superstar version of events definitely shook the AUX stage. Also, when a timid and cranky 17-year old Victony climbed the stage, his sudden energy burst followed by rhythmic rap and captivating rhymes did more than overwhelm his slow start. Universal Music Nigeria’s Alpha P set himself apart as the leader of a pack with fire performances of his hits “fayah” and “Paloma”, before Ladipoe’s revival closed the show firmly. Good Girl LA’s vastness in music was evident as she transitioned her various sounds via energetic delivery paths—an absolute diva in the making.
